I never realized how much free time I have until I got hung up on Facebook…first it was Words With Friends, now it’s Candy Crush! Even as I sit here trying to write my Sand Bucket, I’m so tempted to toggle over to my ongoing game. I feel like it’s therapy. I feel that if I switch over, maybe for only a few minutes, I’ll be able to come back and finish my article, or maybe go on to the other articles I’ve been assigned for this week’s issue. The silly game really has brought the family closer though. Why, the other morning, we had family spending the weekend, and my daughter, the grandkids, daughter-in-law all gathered together. Each one of us flopped over a couch, the loveseat, up at the counter or at the table, cell phones in hand, playing a rip-roaring game of Crush! I had my volume too high and the little annoying melody drummed into our heads like dripping water. Ah, family time! Did anyone go to Dannay’s yet? Please pass me a donut.
And, while you’re at it, please send me a life, I’m stuck on level 29!
