The Crystal Beach Volunteer Fire Department held it’s 3rd Annual Fundraiser BBQ event Saturday, July 6th at the new Crystal Beach Central Fire and EMS Station, located on Noble Carl Drive directly behind the Court House Annex and The Joe Faggard Community Center. David Loop, Fire Chief, and Mark Forey, Assistant Fire Chief and Medic for PEMSI, Peninsula Emergency Medical Service Inc., gave us the royal tour of the new facility. The station will house the fire department and EMS, with offices, meeting and training rooms, and living quarters for 24-hour personnel.
The BBQ Dinner is a major fundraiser for the department, and over 700 meals were served.
