Galveston County Emergency Services District (ESD) #2 recently bolstered its emergency medical services on Bolivar with the introduction of a new ambulance. With this addition, the peninsula’s total fleet now stands at six, ensuring swift responses to emergencies. Valued at $264K, the vehicle is also equipped with an additional $50K worth of gear, fortifying the fleet’s capabilities to serve the community. Notably, three ambulances remain in constant service, with a fourth joining during bustling weekends and holidays. As part of their commitment to quality, one older ambulance is undergoing comprehensive refurbishment, to be followed by another scheduled for reconditioning upon its delivery, demonstrating the agency’s dedication to top-tier emergency care.
