Summary: Monday thru Friday anglers did well on specks, reds, flounder, and drum but this past weekends gale force winds and roiling tides only produced catches of gaff top, hardheads, drum, and a few reds. Hopefully, after the storm blows thru on Monday the tides and wind will get back to normal with fishing conditions improving.

Speckled Trout– Pre-front conditions allowed for some really great speck action with anglers catching trout from 3 to 9lbs- Night-fishing was also good under the lights- but storm tides moved in to stall the bite- post front conditions should pick the bite back up- (Size and Limits- 15inches to 25inches for 10 specks with one 25incher per day when added as part of the daily limit)-
Redfish– Great on pre-front with nice catches of slot and bulls coming in- but slowing down when gusting 30plus winds moved in- (Size and Limits- 20inches to 28inches for 3 reds- with one over 28inches when tagged in addition to the 3 fish daily slot-limit)
Flounder– Excellent before the frontline winds moved in with several nice flounder from 2 to 5 lbs caught along the bulkhead and in rollover bay-(limit- 14inches minimum for 5 flounder per day)
Black Drum- Lots of drum action but mostly illegal puppy drum with a few keeper eaters and oversized bulls caught – REMEMBER- ALL drum under 14inces and over 30inches MUST be released- NO TAGGING- ( Limits- 5 per day at 15- 30 inches)
Sheepshead- SLOW – (Limits- 15 inches minimum with 5 allowed per day)
Sand/Gulf Trout – SLOW- (no limits-)
Whiting/Croaker– Picking up within cut with surf action on whiting improving after frontal winds lay down- (Limits-No Limits)
