Galveston Bay Foundations’s “Ladies Casting for Conservation” teams set out early Saturday morning to participate in the competition. Ladies Casting for Conservation is a women’s one-day fishing tournament held in Crystal Beach, Texas on Bolivar Peninsula. The tournament is for everyone, from your first time fishing to those that know how to reel in the big catch!
“Catchy” team names included Black Jack Hookers, Fisher Sisters, Reel Speck Tacklers, Line Dancing, Pier Pressure Girls, Saltwater Gypsies and Feelin Nauti, to name a few. All the ladies presented well in their angler outfits. After the 6 am start, the teams began arriving by 1 pm for weigh-in. For the next hour, scales were calculating the lengths and weights of the catch for each team. The crowds gathered at Stingaree Down Under to witness the gala event as the Guided & Non-Guided teams took their awards.

Way to go, Ladies! the guy fishermen in my house were really hacked cause the ladies got out before they did and there wasn’t much bait left. (Teach them who the serious fishermen are.)
(Love that hat. Want one like it.)
