Rain or Shine, the Rollover Bash & Dash was the place to be last Saturday. Day long activities including horse shoes, fishing, volleyball, washer boards, food, drinks, inflatables, vendors and music. The children’s event, 45 in all, ages 4-12, took off from the start line just east of Rollover Pass. They bounced on bouncy balls to the start line, where they ditched the balls and took off running for approximately 1/2 mile, then turned around and headed for the finish line. Their mission was to capture all the pirates they could, bring back the pirate and the booty!
Meanwhile, the Gilchrist Community Association was hosting a fishing tournament, and nearly 60 anglers were trying to catch the largest redfish and split the pot with GCA!
The evening closed with the adult run at 8 pm, with over 150 runners entered in the 3.5 mile race.
