Relating to operation of ATVs and ROVs on public beach on Bolivar Peninsula in light of Attorney General Opinion No. GA-0934
“ROVs to be allowed on peninsula beaches”
Article in The Galveston News, June 21, 2012
Would like to come up this week or the weekend. Can we drive our ATV on the beach?
Enjoy it while it lasts. Someone will screw it up…they always do…
Yes Kooter you can ride a 4wheeler.You have to buy a beach parking sticker for it just like cars. Please stay off the dunes,it only takes one asshole to ruin it for everybody
Please just stay off our dunes…after 4 years they are finally coming back.
So to clarify ATV’s are legal to ride on the beach? I know there was a question of ROV’s and that ATV’s have always been illegal. MY understanding is ATV’s are now legal to drive (many signs up and down the beach specificaly listed ATV’s as illegal). I guess those signs are coming down.
Please specify if I can ride a 4Wheeler?
I would just like to thank everyone from Galveston County to all of us that have wanted to ride the beach. We all can work together on this and make it work. STAY OUT OF THE DUNES and respect property owners area. I myself will be out and about with my camera to take some shots on the beach. Drive safe, be respectfull and let’s all have fun.
GREAT NEWS! Most ATV drivers are the same folks that drive golf carts, not vandals. Fine ANYONE not obeying the Law!
