Sandy Shores Halloween Party

by Sid Jackson
Sandy Shores held their annual Halloween party on Oct 27th in Libby and Wayne Richardson’s garage. The neighborhood family, their friends, kids, and grandkids met early Saturday morning to decorate the garage and set up a tent for the food. After the decorations were up, everyone went home to rest, cook and dress to meet back around 6:30 pm. Lots of food and plenty of scary costumes showed back up. The hood did what they do best; ate, danced and had fun together.

The traditional costumes were in sight – an alien whom ended the night as the ogre. A scarecrow and a watermelon-eating wolf showed up. Batman and Bat girl were in attendance to keep everyone in line. The Chick-Fil-A cows showed up to eat more chicken but, there were only beef. There were a couple of bicycle trick riders, and an octopus and a fisherman, witches, some USA Olympic participants, Lucy and Ricky, some angels and of course the pirate, werewolf, bloody man, a jail inmate, a cop, some blind referees, Catman and his 3 kitty’s and of course Duff beer man and many others. Some came in costume and others just came to party without a costume. Lots of dancing went on, line dancing, 2 step, twists and of course some get down – in fact bloody man and Duff beer got out there and cut a rug. Fun was had by all.

Here are just a few of the costumes:
