At a risk of sounding redundant – This Community is Amazing when it comes to helping each other! Saturday, hundreds showed up at Tiki Beach Bar & Grill for our very own Cheryl Small. Thank you Chris and Karen Gatlin of Tiki – you two are always Up Front when it comes to hospitality! As you all know, Cheryl was involved in an automobile accident a few months ago, requiring surgery and leaving Cheryl with a recuperation period where she was not able to work at The Big Store. Barbecue plate lunches were sold beginning at 11 am, served up by Brenda & Larry Flanagan and many other willing participants. Where can you go these days around Crystal Beach and not see Brenda and Larry (just sayin’). The Live Auction began before 2 pm, the generosity was flowing … The bidding was overwhelming – A Texas-shaped basket of pecans went for $1000! All said and done, the benefit took in well over $12K. Cheryl, We miss your lovely smile and huge welcoming whenever we stop in at The Big Store. This community loves you and wishes you a speedy recovery!
Definitely love our caring community!!
We wish Cheryl a speedy recovery and loved helping with the auction. My husband Wade Broussard did the auctioneer and he did a wonderful job. We don’t live in Crystal Beach anymore but still love the people and the town. I worked with Cheryl at the Big Store and I am glad we got to help out.
Wonderful food, loving community. Praying for our Cheryl.
Absolutely wonderful, but not surprising! Our community is great. We feel lucky to be a part of it.
Cheryl always makes our holidays special. Her hard work has created many memorable moments for Halloween, Christmas and Easter. She certainly deserved this outpouring of help and love.
Thanks to all the kind people who made this such a success.
